Miranda Kerr feeds

London, Jan 25 (IANS) Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has shared on a web site an image of her breastfeeding newborn son Flynn to encourage other mothers to decide on the natural choice for his or her child.

The 27-yr-old model and husband Orlando Bloom welcomed the brand new member of their household earlier this month. Kerr later uploaded the intimate picture of herself nursing the infant on her Kora Organics website, stories dailystar.co.uk.

'The picture was one of many first photos Orlando took. We both liked it and we needed to share it. The nice surprise was that it also had the added benefit of promoting breastfeeding which to me is probably the most natural thing on this planet and I adore it and the bonding time now we have throughout these valuable and delightful moments,' Kerr posted on her website.

'Everybody has a proper to choose what they feel is best for their own baby and a few people cannot breastfeed or don't need to and I completely respect that every person has that proper to choose... do not abandon breast feeding because of any 'social' stigma that is perhaps attached to breastfeeding in public,' she said.

Gave birth

The model, with husband Orlando Bloom at her side, gave delivery to a boy final week in Los Angeles.

However Kerr will still be part of the autumn-winter campaign.

"Sadly, I'm not able to make the journey back to Australia as I am enjoying the first few weeks of being a brand new mum," Kerr said.

"I'm so happy to still be part of the brand new season for David Jones. The group flew to LA and we shot the covers wanted for all the important thing campaigns for the season."

Subsequent month's launch in Sydney will feature some of Australia's prime models including Samantha Harris, Nicole Trunfio and Alexandra Agoston.
